Yay, what a life would that be - sitting behind the fancy slot machine, hitting buttons, sipping Bud Light and constantly cashing out big bucks, or coins. Sure, we know that casinos (even online casinos, yes) take their ″edge″ and earn hideous profits, but we don’t think about it when we step into a local casino or log on to our favourite online casino.

There’s always a constant battle between ″us″ (the players) and ″them″ (casino) and most of the time we’re pretty equal, until the slot machine suddenly turns into a money-leeching demon and starts eating our cash. So, after losing again, you ended up reading this article that has a title which gives you some hope.

Not that I want to sound rude, but reconsider because you won’t win your money back. Every bet you make equals giving your money away. Actually, there’s only one way to gain a profit visiting a casino - that’s when you sign up for a casino’s club card and go visit the place once in a while. You won’t play but always claim your ″Club Member Bonus″ free drink. After drinking it you should leave the place, but knowing you guys, that almost never happens.

For people who still believe that they can win with slot machines, I have listed some myths and rumors that aren’t true. Believing in them brings you debts and misery.

Some people believe that a poorly paying slot machine is about to hit big, maybe even a jackpot, so it would be smart to keep on playing or even raise the bets::

Well, actually there’s no difference if the machine has been paying poorly for a long time or not, because each spin is unique and totally random (IF, that is, you’re playing at least Casino Control Commission or a GamblingRalf approved casino and the machine uses well-known software). There’s different situations in land based casinos, because even if they claim that slot machines payout percentage is fixed and constant, it still happens sometimes. The payout percentage has been lowered to nonexistent and you can keep on playing and losing forever. There’s also no such thing as ″feeding the slot machine″ (this equals losing your money in order to win it back later) or ″milking it″.

Talking on a cell phone when gambling drives high tech slot machines crazy and helps to win big…or not! Actually some cell phones damage digital slot machines (especially before GSM coverage, when NMT was a superhit), but I haven’t heard any stories of players being able to cheat the casino with this trick and withdraw the money.

I know a few players who have had sudden $100,000 on their bankroll and weren’t paid, because the computer chip made a mistake (probably caused by cell phone). Every bet and win has to be proved by a slot machine’s previous winnings history, which is saved and constantly checked.

::Temperature of the coins affect slot machines and payout rates. Hot coin means more money!::

Another twisted fairytale. If you’re already so credulous, don’t visit casinos at all - you will gamble your brains off like that and go home crying. Computer chips have a RNG chip (Random Number Generator) that isn’t affected by anything, even not by the coin you have stored and heated up between your buns.

We could continue this list, but I’d rather not do it because it all comes down to one thing - in the long run there’s no way you can beat the slot machine and steal its edge. If winning was easy, there would be no casinos. There’s no simple ″How to Beat Slot Machine″ tactic, only some simple rules that should be followed to keep your losings as low as possible.

Connecticut is the state that is well-known for its rolling hills, miles and miles of green grass and its sleepy, family communities. You would not think that Connecticut casinos even have a place in this state of 3,405,565 people. The capital, Hartford, is known for its bustling, state government lifestyle. Throughout the state, however, a busy Connecticut casino industry thrives.

Two of the world's largest casinos make their home in Connecticut: Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun. They are the most well known operations with the state of Connecticut and grand-scale facilities that are known worldwide. They are direct competitors of one another and are constantly upgrading to try to outdo each other.

Foxwoods Resort Casino, one of the several Connecticut Casinos, is located in Ledyard. The Mashantucket Pequot tribe runs it and it is one of many Native American owned casinos spread throughout the country. Foxwoods casino is said to be the largest casino in the world, a fact that draws thousands of visitors, enthusiasts, professionals, and tournament players year-round. This Connecticut casino features more than 7,000 slot machines, horseracing, table games and more. There are also more than three hotels on the premises of Foxwoods Casino. It also houses the infamous Foxwoods Arena, as well as a host of other entertainment options. Foxwoods Resort Casino is one of the top Connecticut casinos that bring in visitors from all over the world to this quiet Connecticut region.

The Mohegan Sun is located in Uncasville. This Connecticut casino competes directly with Foxwoods, about 20 minutes away. The Mohegan Sun used to be a smaller competitor to Foxwoods. However, this Connecticut casino underwent a major renovation about three years ago that brought the square footage of the Mohegan Sun to just under the amount of Foxwoods. The Mohegan Sun casino also added a huge arena, a Planetarium Dome (the largest in the world), a Cabaret and numerous new dining establishments. Needless to say, the Mohegan Sun is now a formidable competitor for any Connecticut casino, particularly Foxwoods.

These two Connecticut casinos are among the largest in the world. They are as well known for their variety in games and competitions as they are for the many extras they offer their customers. There are not a great many Connecticut casinos, however, the few that are located with the state are large-scale operations that are dedicated to serving every minute need of the amateur and professional gambler.

There’s a lot of available games to play inside a casino whenever somebody wants to go Casino Gambling. A gambler could pick to play card games, roulettes, and other games that have evolved over time. But among these, slot machines remain to be one of the favorites of people who love Casino Gambling.

Slot machines have been around almost instantaneously as casinos. The very first machine was created in 1887. It featured the commonly known configuration of the machine. This "one-armed bandit" was also able to feature an automated system that enabled it to simplify the payout mechanism of the machine. This became popular and soon found its way into every local bar or saloon at that time. Thus, possibly initiating the beginning of Casino Gambling.

Today, variations in the popular machine have become an act of creativity for its developers. Different machines come up with very different themes. The variations could go as creative as using pirate themes, geometric shapes, just to name a few. This is probably the reason why in Britain, slot machines are more commonly called as the "fruit machines". But whatever theme developers might come up with, the basic principle behind it still remains. The characters and the number of lines might change, but nevertheless, they still follow the original game structuring of its origin. It adds to the flavor of course, that Casino Gambling people are able to enjoy the machines they are betting on, given that they have evolved to become more fun.

The development of the slot machine did not come without myths surrounding it. Some Casino Gambling people believe that certain machines become either "hot" or "cold", depending on the number hits or wins a particular machine has given. Although myths such as this have crept its way throughout different places, the odds of winning on a standard slot machine is determined by an RNG or Random Number Generator. This means that on standardized machines, the odds of winning is always the same.

There are however, some machines that are specifically programmed to increase the probability of winning. Depending on the state laws that govern a particular casino, Casino Gambling on slot machines are required to give out what is called a payout percentage. Usually, the payout percentage is somewhere between 82 to 98 percent. But in the case of Nevada where state laws are not the same as others, the baseline payout percentage of machines is set to 75. This means that supposing one spin costs $1, after 1,000,000 spins have been played, the machine should have at least returned an average of $750,000 to the players. And so goes for other machines that have a different payout percentage set.

Other machines that are commonly seen when going Casino Gambling are those that give out huge jackpot prizes. The machines that could give out as much as $7,000,000, are linked in a network of different machines. The network could also extend to other casinos, enabling a link between one casino’s slot machines and the other’s. However, because of the large jackpot prize being allotted by these systems, the usual case is that the payout percentage is smaller than the one from a single machine.

Casino Gambling is still predominantly based on probability. Although this is sometimes preset by programs that are usually required by state laws, the odds of winning on a slot machine and any other Casino Gambling endeavor still requires a certain amount of luck to pull off.

Usually the first thing you see, and always the first thing you hear, when you walk into a casino anywhere in the world is slot machines. The flashing lights, sirens and people jumping in excitement over their most recent win, sets the mood to one of excitement and possibility throughout the casino.

If you are anything like me, you may be very skeptical of this whole slots excitement thing. I always knew that playing slots was a losing proposition, because they only pay back a percentage of the money put into them, often between 90 and 98%, so I refused to play them for years. My wife on the other hand has always played slots, and seems to enjoy it, so I decided to give them a try. I quickly determined why they are so popular. The feeling that is generated when you win in addition to the possibility, no matter how small, of hitting a life-changing jackpot is almost indescribable. I have compiled a short list of why slots are so popular.

Playing slots is easy. All you have to do is decide how many coins you wish to wager and either push a button or pull on a handle.

Because they are so easy to play, it is much easier to socialize with your neighbor or significant other while playing.

With many of today’s games tied to large progressive jackpots, there is always the chance you will win enough money to retire or change your life forever.

You can come and go as you please. The slot machines will be sitting in the same place when you get back from dinner, and won’t complain if you are a little late.

The variety of slots available is staggering. You can play on hundreds of different slot machines in a single day. If you don’t like the layout, design or position of the one you are using, there is another one just a few feet (or inches) away.

New slot machines are introduced all of the time, so there is always a variety of new and exciting games to play.

The bottom line is that slots are fun, relaxing and can be very enjoyable.

With the ever-increasing popularity of land-based slot machines, the Internet now offers hundreds of places where you can enjoy slots from the comfort of your home. To see some of these places and investigate the bonuses that they offer, take a look at SlotsBonuses.net Good luck at the slot machines!

There is a whole new generation of casino games out there. A casino gambler twenty-five years ago would not even recognize some of the most popular casino games of the moment. Some wouldn’t have been possible a generation ago. New technologies have made current favorites like progressive slots and video poker possible in the first place.

Certain casino games have developed alongside trends in American leisure time. Caribbean stud poker developed on the Caribbean cruise ship tour. As ship cruises have become more popular, casinos have seen an increase in gamblers wanting to play Caribbean stud poker.

Other games have come to American casinos due to globalism and a subsequent blending of gaming cultures. Pai Gow Poker is based on a Chinese game using dominos. Though the game is exotic to many American eyes, it has shown a steady growth in popularity in the last ten years. In the future, one can expect to see other such ″foreign″ games find their way onto casino floors from time to time.

But certain old standards retain a cherished place in the casino. Craps is still the most exciting place to be on most casino floors. I doubt that Pai Gow Poker will ever attract an audience the way the frenetic action of a good craps table does.

Whatever your choice in games of chance, the casino offers more options now than it ever has before. Here’s a look at some of the trendy casino games of the moment.

PROGRESSIVE SLOT MACHINES

Progressive slot machines were not possible a generation ago. The size of the jackpots remained low due to the limitations of the mechanical slot machine. But with the widespread use of random number generators and interlinked video slots, the slots industry changed. Most slots players would say the industry has changed for the better.

Before the number generator, slot machines were limited by the mechanics of the 20-number reel. Larger reels simply wouldn’t fit in a slot machine. A number generator and slots video frees up a slot machine designer to add more numbers on a reel–and add more real. Large progressive jackpots are the result, where the increase of the jackpots are exponential. In the past, a top slots payoffs might have been a few thousand dollars. Now, progressive jackpots are numbered in the hundreds of thousands–sometimes even in the low millions.

VIDEO POKER

A close cousin of the video slot machine is video poker. Like progressive slots, video poker machines use a random number generator to run a fast-paced game. Like the slots machines, the payoffs in video poker have increased exponentially in the last twenty years.

Video poker is a favorite with some professional gamblers. If played correctly, video poker can have a house edge as low as 0.50%. When you combine the low house edge with a progressive jackpot, it is no wonder that some casinos these days feature more video poker machines than video slot machines. Between the comps programs and casino promotions, you can even wind up with a positive expectation on a video poker game.

CARIBBEAN STUD POKER

As the name implies, Caribbean Stud poker originated in the islands of the Caribbean. Caribbean Stud made its way into the gambling rooms of the cruise ship lines, so it was only a matter of time before American casinos decided they could make a dime off of the game. The fact the game has a 5% house edge makes Caribbean Stud a favorite with casino managers.

Many Caribbean Stud players enjoy the camaraderie around the table. The game pits each player against the dealer. Since up to seven players can play at any table, the laid back style of Caribbean Stud poker fosters a sense of togetherness among its players. For people who enjoy visiting a casino to converse with its other patrons, Caribbean Stud poker is a natural choice in games.

PAI GOW POKER

Pai Gow Poker originated in Asia as a game played with dominos. Elements of Pai Gow combined with poker to create a unique Hi-Lo type experience. Players are dealt seven cards, which the gambler uses to create seperate five card and two card hands. The double wager aspect of Pai Gow Poker adds a complexity to the game that many casino goers enjoy.

But Pai Gow Poker is enjoyed by players for many of the same reasons Caribbean Stud Poker is enjoyed. Pai Gow is played at an easy place, where all the players at the table are encouraged to enjoy one another’s company. In fact, many casinos allow Pai Gow players to advise one another on the best hands to play.

A GAMBLERS PARADISE

So whether you enjoy a private game like progressive slot machines or video poker, or you prefer a community game like Caribbean Stud or Pai Gow Poker, there are popular casino games these days for every type of gambler. Of course, the old style players may prefer the hustle and bustle of a good craps game to the more laid back favorites othat seem to populate the casino today.

People love playing at casinos and their popularity is undeniable. Compared to a couple of decades ago, casinos are widespread throughout the United States. Cruise ships, state-licensed casinos, and Native American casinos entertain millions of people every year and make billions of dollars.

What could possibly be the attraction of a place that will most likely take your money? First of all, going anywhere and doing anything costs money, so the fact that visiting a casino may cost you money is not really an impediment. The keyword in that last sentence was "may" because you might actually win money when you play at a casino, and this definitely cannot happen at other entertainment venues.

The appeal of a casino begins with the environment it creates for its patrons. Casinos have common elements such as they are noisy, have lots of bright lights inside and out, and flashy gaudy carpeting that (luckily) can't be found in other places. The exciting and exotic atmosphere of the typical casino combined with the presence of gambling imbues it with a speak-easy mystique that makes it a tantalizing place to play.

A casino provides people with a place to go that is different than their other choices. It's not a movie theater or shopping mall or bar. Sometimes a casino resort includes these elements but they are only extras tacked on to a casino. There is not another type of entertainment venue that quite delivers the excitement, flash, emotion, and slightly gangster flair that can be found in a casino.

For special events like weddings or just a big date, a casino also offers itself as a place where you can dress up. Although casual dress is fine for visitors as well, you are not the least bit out of place in formal attire. It just adds to the whole scene when some people are dressed up.

Most importantly, giving adults a place to play is what casinos do best. Gambling is an adult activity, and rightly so. When friends and relatives go out to a casino and run about trying different games and trading stories on their wins and losses, they recapture the feeling of being a kid at a carnival.

And the gambling can give you the biggest thrill. While playing, you have the hope for a win to excite and sustain you during the losses. Then, on the times when you do win, you truly have a good time. Winning anything is fun, and winning money is even more fun. It is especially satisfying to win while gambling because the odds are against you the whole way. You can feel smart and victorious as you cash out and tuck the money into your wallet.

Games that suit about every taste and comfort level are offered at a casino. The slot machines and video poker machines are the most popular because they are the easiest to play. Table games such as blackjack, roulette and craps are commonly found at casinos as well. Some people feel intimidated by these games because they do not know the rules for playing. However, if you are interested in trying some cards or dice on your next casino visit, then you have no reason to be shy about playing. Floor supervisors and dealers will tell you what to do. The point of visiting a casino is to have a good time, so be sure to play the games that interest you.

Not to blaspheme the Gods and Goddesses of Las Vegas to whom we pay tribute but one cannot win at the game of 21. Shortly you will understand why. In the meantime does Blackjack refer to the Jack of spades or the Jack of clubs? Why does the Jack have 2 heads? Was the name Jack derived from the name John and how did they get from John to Jack? Poor little John John. His mommy wouldn't let him marry Darryl Hannah. "I'll be damned if I have a mermaid for a daughter in law", said Jackie Kennedy as she sipped Ouzo aboard the Christina, her husband's 532 foot yacht cruising the pearl blue seas of the Mediterranean one hot July afternoon in 1969. "But she's not a mermaid mom, that was just a movie." "Movie Shmoovie", said Jackie O, "She's beneath you."

The road to Hell is paved with bad intentions. John the Baptist was doing fine until he laid 3 to 1 on a young Jewish Prince overthrowing the husband of Herodius, which bet caused his head to roll at the behest of a 14 year old lap dancer named Salome who preferred the Royal Palace to a dirt hole in Iraq. Imagine little George "the drinks are on me" Bush captured in a dirt hole in Nevada by 5 Iranian soldiers. Don't worry. It's not going to happen. We have the family guarding Las Vegas, not Fema. Hollywood has hypnotized us with James Bond movies giving us the illusion that our leaders are invincible and will always protect us. That's why 30,000 men, women and children starved to death like Ethiopians 300 miles from Houston for 5 days. When 100 Megaton Muslim Nuclear suicide bombs start raining down on Las Vegas like hail in a Kansas tornado, be sure to call Fema when 10 square miles of the strip are turned into a radioactive parking lot instantly. "Drove my Chevy to the levee but the levee was dry, singin' this will be the day that I die, singin' this will be the day that I die."

Before we get into the reason that the house has you dead to rights at the blackjack table, let me ask you a question. Yes, you, the person staring at your computer monitor's white light wishing that I would get to the point already. That is the point. There is no point. "The point is 12, come on shooter, we've got a hot shooter tonight ladies and gentleman." Why do the bells go off and the lights flash when someone gets 2 cherries at the slot machine? Instead of heralding the winners, what would happen if every time that someone lost a bet to the one armed bandit, funeral dirges blasted out over the Pioneer speakers? What if instead of naked women serving free screwdrivers at the blackjack tables men dressed as terrorists served Jimmy Jones Kool Aids? The point is we all die sooner or later so why do we spend our lives terrorized that we or our children will die? Anyone with even one quarter of a brain who pays attention to what's going on in the world today has to be on at least 2 major tranquilizers. And this is an unobvious reason that you cannot win at blackjack. You aren't there to win; you are there to escape into the drunken frenzy of flashing lights and naked women hoping against hope for the big win, so that for once in your life you can be the big hero.

O.K. Lets get serious for one moment. Here comes the reason that you cannot win at blackjack ever. Imagine this scenario. 7 people are sitting at the blackjack table. The dealer is showing a Queen of Hearts just prior to ripping out your heart and eating it. Players number 1 through 6 all bust. The dealer, the house, the casino, Steve Wynn, he shortened it from Weinberg, or Weinstein, or Weinrib or something so that Sheiks would come to "his" resorts, and the family thought that it would be good marketing for Las Vegas to be named after the word "Win". So 6 people have now busted, lost lets say $60 to the house, the casino, and the dealer has done absolutely nothing except stand there silently like a guard outside of Buckingham Palace. Player number 7 has 17. The dealer turns over a 5 for 15 then gives himself a 10 for 25. So he pays out $10 to player 7 who cannot believe that he just won with 17, and the casino just won $50 at this one table on this one hand.

How can this be? How can the dealer beat 6 people with 25? "Elementary my dear Watson, the dealer always plays last. The dealer always plays last. The dealer always plays last."

Imagine the Super Bowl. Dallas is playing New York. The final score is Dallas 21 New York 15 and New York wins. You drew 22, the dealer drew 25, and he won your 10 dollars. He busted out and he beat you because? The dealer always plays last.

Did I mention that the dealer always plays last? This is how the owners of the casinos have managed to build lavish 3,000 room hotels for a hundred years on sand dunes and give away free screwdrivers. If for one night the dealer went first, every hotel in Las Vegas would join General Motors and Ford on the bread lines. China pays its workers 23 cents a day. This fall China is introducing a car into the United States of America called the Gigli. The Gigli looks like a Toyota, sells for $9,000 and gets 218 miles per gallon. It runs on rice. Short GM and Ford with every dime that you had planned on investing in Las Vegas. You will become an overnight zillionaire.

When gambling online, select the casino site carefully to avoid being scammed. Review the site wisely. Don’t just give your credit card number to the first site you find in the net. Take the time to ask yourself these questions:

*Is the site authentic? Look if it is government licensed. If not, go locate another site.

*Does the site have a twenty four hour toll free customer service support? If not, look for other sites.

*For slot machines and pokers, what is their smallest denomination? Look for a variety in denominations. They should have nickels, quarters, dollar as well as five dollar machines.

*How many versions of video poker do they offer? They should have at least three, because this will be your basis that the site has money for the software, therefore it can afford to pay you your winnings.

*Does the casino site have a place to record and keep track of purchases and cash out?

*What about customer care? Test them. By sending them an email with a question, you can assess their customer service.

*Does this site have a good reputation? What software does it use? Know how to collect your winnings. They should have detailed information about this.

*How many days will it take for you to claim your winnings? Certain sites require you to send them email stating your request. Others give payouts only once a month, and others every two weeks.

*What are the rules about bonuses?

When gambling online, here are a few pointers that should be of help:

*Do your homework. Play only at authentic sites.

*Allot a budget for a day’s game. Never go beyond that budget.

*Gamble only with money that you can afford to lose. Don’t gamble the money allocated for your home rental. You’ll be needing help if you play this way.

*Never mix alcohol and gambling. They simply don’t work together.

*Your data is to be protected at all times. When signing up, note that the casino should have a secure and data encrypted link. Identity theft is rampant on the internet.

*Spend ample time reading to familiarize yourself with the game.

*Play by statistics. Know the odds of the game. Study it by numbers. Hunches have no part in gambling.

*Just stick to the game. Never mind the gimmicks. Side bets, insurance and the ″crapless craps″ are offered in order to lure you to spend more so that the casino will make more money.

*Know when to call it quits. If you are already winning, stop. Don’t try to win more, you may end up a big loser. If you are already losing more than your allocated daily budget, stop. There is always another day.

*Expect that you can lose the game. Casinos are in the business because they set the rules in such a way that the house’s win is important. Generally, they have the edge over you.

A fact is that ninety eight percent of casino gambling is designed for recreation. Therefore, play to enjoy. To be entertained, you spend money. If it gets to a point where it is no longer fun to you, where you play beyond your means, then stop now, or else, you may not be able to stop later.

While playing online slot playing is a game of chance as we have seen in part 1 of this essay there are certain ways to maximize your winnings.

Here is a 10 point guide to playing online slots and increasing your chances of winning the jackpot.

1. Emotions!

Slots are simple, fun and easy to play and it's easy to get carried away

It is therefore very important in playing any game with a house edge to have some money control.

When playing online slots its imperative you need to set a bank roll you can afford to lose for each session.

When the session is over that's it you walk away. Don't chase losses.

2. Don’t Play Full Coin Unless You Need To

Don’t play full coin on machines that are ″equal distribution″ or ″straight multipliers.″

If you look across the highest pay line and see something like: 100 coins for one coin; 200 coins for two coins; 300 coins for three coins.

You need to be aware that adding extra coins to that first one does not get you anything extra.

You are simply playing two times as much to win two times as much.

3. Maximum Coins on Progressives

You have to play maximum coins on a progressive machine to be able to win the progressive jackpot and that's the only reason your really playing these online slot machines.

If you don’t play maximum coins, you’re just building the jackpot for another player with no chance to win it yourself.

4. Machines are hot and cold

Don’t believe the common held belief that slot machines are hot or cold and that if you can figure out these streaks you can beat the machine – you can't.

In hindsight, you can the winning and losing cycles, which are the result of the random nature of the game, and cycles are only visible once they have been.

5. Slot Systems

Don't try them! They don't work. Playing online slots is totally random and the previous history of reels payouts etc is to. You cannot use a system on a random game of chance – Period!

6. Play Machines You’re Comfortable With

Pick a machine you really enjoy playing and then play that machine for maximum payout possible.

If you like the idea of huge jackpots, then play progressives.

If, on the other hand if, you want a chance to have fun and win smaller amounts, your best bet would be playing one coin machines and having some fun.

Just go with a machine your comfortable with.

7. Check the Payout Table

Read the directions on the multi-line games carefully to maximize your payout.

When playing these online slot machines each coin opens up new lines and/or symbols that can see what it is you want to win and then make sure you play number of coins to win the payback your are happy with.

8. Play Higher Denominations

If you can afford it, you may consider going to larger denominations, say to a single one-dollar coin. When playing online slot machines the higher the denomination, the better the payback.

9. The House Edge Take Profits

Slot machines have a larger house edge than other casino games and you need to keep this in mind.

While winning is the aim when playing online slot machines, over the long run it will cost you money to play as the odds are stacked against you.

If you are lucky enough to hit the jackpot bank the majority or all of your winnings and count your blessings.

In any session if you are a good way ahead it's an idea to bank and walk away.

10. Have Fun

If you play online slots machines make sure you enjoy them and have fun expect to lose but also be prepared to win! Imagine walking away with a million jackpot.

It's this possibility that makes playing online slots so exciting, have fun.

Going For the Million plus Payback

Progressive slot machines offer jackpots that are larger than flat top machines. In some cases, these jackpots are huge and the payback can change a player’s life. While the paybacks and jackpots are large, they are large for a reason. The chances or odds of winning the mega jackpot or payback are smaller than on flat top slots. Everyone however, wants to win a huge jackpot on online slot machines. Below you will find all you need to know about playing to win the large jackpots available on progressive slot machines.

Why Jackpots Are So Large

Progressive machines are a group of several online slot machines linked together. A percentage of the money played on each machine is added together to make up the jackpot. Anyone hitting the winning symbols on any machines in the network can win the jackpot. The fact the jackpot is fed by so many online slot machines allows the payback to be huge but also decreases the odds of success due to the jackpots size.

The Odds of Hitting the Jackpot

The odds of hitting the jackpot on some progressives are 20, 30 or even 40,000,000 to one! As a player its fun and exciting to know that you play for such a huge jackpot, but unless lady luck smiles on you, the odds are very slim that you will walk away with a huge payback after playing. Each player must decide how much of their bankroll they want to risk on these online slot machines where the odds of success are so low.

If you are looking to maximize your casino playing time and bankroll, it is best to limit your play on these machines or avoid them altogether and play flat top slots. Many players however, want the excitement of playing a progressive. Therefore, do so, but be sensible with how much of your bankroll you want to, or can risk playing. Most online slot players are tempted to gamble more than they should, especially when the jackpot can get so high.

Playing Progressive Slot Machines

Allocate some fun bankroll: Don’t expect to win the jackpot when playing online progressive machines. Set aside some fun bankroll and be prepared to lose. Play no more than you have allocated as your fun bankroll. Be prepared to lose, but remember someone has to win the jackpot and it could be you.

You have to play maximum coins: It only takes one spin WITH MAXIMUM COINS played, but you must play maximum coins. If you aren’t going to play maximum coins, you should not play progressive slot machines, because you are not going to win the mega jackpot, which really should be the whole point of playing a progressive slot machine in the first place.

Go for the biggest progressive slots jackpots: Progressive slots generally advertise a running tally of how much you stand to win in the jackpot. If you are playing for fun and not expecting to win, you may as well play for the biggest jackpots, so compare a few before you play.
